| One of the most (if not the most) awesome responsibilities ever given is that of "shepherd" in the Lord's church. Shepherds must watch over the souls of the Lord's flock...and one day...will stand before the Maker of the Universe to give answer concerning the sheep which were under their charge. Following in the example of the Master Shepherd, Jesus Christ, the elders must see to it that the flock is fed spiritually so that it may grow to maturity in the Lord. The bishops (as they are also called) must also stop the mouths of those who would come in and cause havoc in the Kingdom of Christ. It has been stated: The strength of a congregation can be traced to the strength found in the leadership of that church.
Our elders have selflessly devoted themselves to this great service in the Lord's kingdom. It is requested that when you read this that you will offer up prayer for our elders at Lake Forest and all who serve in this capacity everywhere in the Lord's church.
 Bob Sieg
Bob is a native Jacksonvillian who retired from CSX Transportation after 35 years. He has been married to Penelope (Penny) Wheelis for 41 years. Together they have two children and seven grandchildren. Bob's family has been associated with Lake Forest since 1949. Bob has served as an elder at Lake Forest for over 18 years.
 Maynard Booher
Maynard has been preaching for well over 50 years and has served congregations in five different states. He attended Florida Christian College and graduated with a B.A. degree from East Tennessee State College. He is married to Joyce and they have two sons and two grandchildren. Maynard has stepped down from full time preaching and is now the associate preacher and works part time with the congregation. He was appointed an elder in 2007.
