Lads to Leaders & Leaderettes is a tool churches of Christ can use to help prepare their youth and adults for service in the Kingdom of God and help develop their overall leadership potential.

Lads to Leaders & Leaderettes is more than just attending a youth rally or Bible Bowl. They offer a variety of Bible-based class materials for grade K-5 through Adult. Each year, a new version of their Scripture-based workbook called Pearls is published. Sound authors give an in-depth study of the Biblical truths found in the Bible Bowl book(s). Many churches use these excellent materials to involve the whole congregation. The Pearls book this year is Standing on the Promises.

Churches can select from 33 events, the majority of which are non-competitive (22), which cover a wide range of interests. Competition is only a small part of the program.

Why have competition? Children, by their very nature, are competitive. Siblings are competitive. Even children after church invent competitive games in the parking lot. For years, churches have recognized this natural competitive spirit and used it to promote VBS attendance, Scripture memorization in Bible classes, Bible Bowl and other good works. This friendly Christian competition is not harmful. Instead, it encourages and motivates youth.
