Theme: Between the Sundays

Key Verse: Luke 9:23 - "Then He said to them all, 'If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.'"

Theme Explanation: The idea of this year's theme is to stress living daily for Christ. Let's face it, if we were to name the day of the week that would be the easiest to live like a Christian, that day would be Sunday. Most of us are doing pretty well on the Lord's Day. The bulk of our problems take place on Monday through Saturday.

Why? That's simply because we are around the other Christians that we see every Sunday. We get busy with our day to day lives and often forget about doing the will of God for others that we see and visit with every day. We are tempted and need our source of strength that we seem to have on Sundays.

Our goal is simply to stress taking up our crosses on a daily basis for God in this world. We want to really concentrate on making our Monday through Saturday just as productive and spiritually uplifting as our Sundays when we come together to worship as a family.
