"God's Simple Plan of Salvation"
When all is said and done, only one thing will truly matter...
Have we obeyed the words of
Jesus Christ?
If we have obeyed, then we will hear these words spoken to us by Jesus Christ... "Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord." (Matt. 25:21)   On the other hand, if we have not obeyed, we will hear these words, also spoken by Jesus Christ... "I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." (Matt. 7:23).

Have You Followed These Simple Commands of Jesus?

1.) We Must Hear

God's Word

2.) We Must Believe Jesus

Is The Son of God

3.)WE MUST "REPENT" OF OUR
SINS AND FOLLOW JESUS
First, if one will know God's will, he or she must study the Bible to learn those things necessary to please Him (2Timothy 3:16-17).
Hebrews 1:1-2 states "God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;"
Jesus proclaimed that "His Words" will be our judge in the last day (John 12:48). Since Jesus' words will be our judge, shouldn't we listen to the words He has spoken so we may avail ourselves of His eternal blessings.
Through the Holy scriptures, we learn: "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; "(Romans 3:23) and "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23) Even though all have sinned, God has provided the way to be saved from our sins. Let's Read On.
Jesus said "whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16).
Jesus continued in John 8:24 that those who did not believe on Him would die in their sins. If one does not believe Jesus is the Son of God, they have no hope; for everything else is based upon proper faith in Christ.
Proper belief involves obedience to all Jesus' commands. E.g. A doctor may prescribe medication to cure an illness. However, until the prescribed medicine is taken by the ill patient, faith in the medication "alone" will not cure him (see Matthew 19:16-22). We are warned of this type of faith (dead) in (James 2:19-20).  If we fail to properly exhibit obedient faith, our faith is no better than that of devils.
The following commands of Christ (see 3,4,5,and 6) are necessary to show the obedient faith which God requires (James 2:14-26).

Before we can follow Jesus, we must forsake all that would stand in the way of our walk with Christ. The only thing that will prevent our fellowship with Christ is our own sins. Jesus declared in Luke 13:3, "I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." Hebrews 12:1-2 tells us: "Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God."

4.) WE MUST "CONFESS" JESUS IS THE SON OF GOD

5.) WE MUST "BE BAPTIZED"
TO HAVE OUR SINS REMITTED
6.) WE MUST
"REMAIN FAITHFUL" 'TIL DEATH

As Peter in Matthew 16:16-18 made the "great confession", we also must confess that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. Jesus said, Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven (Matthew 10:32-33).
Jesus commanded that the gospel be preached to all men. It seems only reasonable that before one could obey the command to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to the world (Matthew 28:18-20), he or she would, first, confess the name of Jesus as the Christ, the Son of God.

Jesus considered "baptism" an equally important step to be saved and stated so in Mark 16:16: "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
Baptism, an act of faith, is called a "circumcision" or removal of the flesh of sin performed by God through Jesus Christ (Colossians 2:11-13).Through baptism, one rises (out of the watery grave) through faith in the operation of God. Baptism, therefore, being a faithful act,(vs12) is a necessary component for accessing the saving grace of God (Ephesians 2:8-9).
The apostle Paul clearly illustrates, that the terminology "calling on the name of the Lord"  and the faithful act of "baptism" are one and the same (Romans 10:13-14, Acts 22:16).
The mechanics of baptism are shown in Romans 6:3-6. Here we see that one is crucified, buried, and raised with Christ through one's obedience in baptism. At this point, we enter the saved relationship in Christ (Galatians 3:27).

If one desires to live eternally in heaven with Jesus, he or she must strive to serve faithfully everyday, even 'til death, if necessary (Luke 9:23, Revelation 2:10). 1John 1:6-9 states that we must "walk in the light" to have "fellowship with Christ" and access to His cleansing blood.
2Peter 2:20-22 shows that it is possible to become entangled in sin and therefore occupy a worse condition than before originally obeying Christ. If we were lost before knowing Christ, imagine what awaits if we disobey after knowing Christ.
Matthew 28:19-20 implies a life of service after entering the saved relationship with Christ (to observe all things commanded). Paul was addressing "Christians", in Romans 6:23, when he stated that the wages of sin is death. Christians, therefore, must continue to be steadfast in the Lord (1Corinthians 15:58). Adding to our faith will strengthen us so that we will not fall (2Peter 1:5-10).
