Deacons

     Although all of God's people are to serve diligently in the kingdom; some of our Christian brothers have been given special tasks to perform that assist in the smooth functioning of the body. A deacon's work may involve building maintenance, scheduling of public worship participants, benevolence programs, etc. They are a very valuable asset to the the body, and, by performing their task well, the eldership can focus on the spiritual matters of the body (Acts 6:2-3).

      Our deacons graciously have undertaken the tasks given them as servants in Christ's kingdom. Pray for them that they may serve well. Verses of scripture pertaining to deacons: Acts 6:1-6, Philippians 1:1, 1Timothy 3:8-13
